Bernard Beauty Academy
Established in 1986, Chez Bernard Beauty Academy
has grown an excellent reputation as one of, if
not the best cosmetology school in the New Brunswick.
The academy is responsible for producing some of the best cosmetology students, who often go on to have very fulfilling and successful careers.
Chez Bernard Beauty Academy has managed to continuously adapt to the changing fashion and style industry, alongside the ever changing Canadian job market.
In the early 2000's, Chez Bernard got a new owner who was once a student who then went on to become a teacher at Chez Bernard. One of Sonia's first acts was to relocate the school to Dieppe, near the Greater Moncton International Airport. The new
school is double the size and is now capable of accommodating up to 48 students. With 2 licensed instructors on staff there is never a lack of one on one time between students and teachers.
Chez Bernard Beauty Academy has also established itself as an asset to the community in the volunteer work they do. In recent years Chez Bernard Academy students have been called upon to style hair for the Miss New Brunswick, Miss Teen New Brunswick, and Maritime Idol which is a local talent search not unlike Canadian Idol. They have also been very helpful with several local high school drama organizations by volunteering to do their hair before their annual productions.
On a yearly basis, CCNB Dieppe invites our students to style hair for their pageant. They were called upon to style hair for the Beauty and The Beast Production held at the Moncton Coliseum in 2013 which was a huge success. Students and staff often participate in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowlathon fundraiser and also have offered their services in volunteering our students and school for their "Cuthathon".
The Students of Chez Bernard Beauty Academy speak highly of their school. They hope to carry on the tradition of producing talented, well trained hairstylists for the Cosmetology industry. That is why we can proudly say that Chez Bernard Beauty Academy has “…the Trend Setters of today preparing Hairstylists for Tomorrow!!”
