History of Chez Bernard Beauty Academy
Established in 1986, Chez Bernard Beauty Academy has been steady fast
in maintaining its excellent reputation as one of, if not the best cosmetology
school inThe Province of New Brunswick.
The Academy has managed to reinvent itself, through the years to keep up with
the ever changing demands of the Fashion and style industry, not to mention the
ever changing job market and employer demands throughout the province.
The latest reincarnation of Chez Bernard has seen the most recent owner, former
Student and Teacher, Mrs. Sonia LeBlanc, relocate the school to the ever
expanding area of Dieppe, near the Greater Moncton International Airport. The new
school has doubled in size, and can accommodate up to 48 students. With 2
licensed instructors on staff there is never a lack of one on one time between students and teachers.
Chez Bernard Beauty Academy has also established itself as an asset to the community in the volunteer work they do. In recent years Chez Bernard Academy students have been called upon to style hair for the Miss New Brunswick and Miss Teen New Brunswick pageants and Maritime Idol, a local talent search not unlike Canadian Idol. They have also been very helpful with several local high school drama organizations by volunteering to do their hair before their annual productions. On a yearly basis, CCNB Dieppe invites our students to style hair for their pageant. They have most recently been called upon to style hair for the Beauty and The Beast Production held at the Moncton Coliseum and also this coming weekend for Galaxie CAFi 2013 fashion show. For the last 4 years, the students and staff participate in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowlathon fundraiser and also have offered our services in volunteering our students and school for their "Cuthathon".
The Students of Chez Bernard Beauty Academy speak highly of their school. They hope to carry on the tradition of producing talented, well trained hairstylists for the Cosmetology industry.
